About me
I am a consultant with 30 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry. I am currently contracted to Boston Consultancy Group working on Contracts with major oil Companies. My specialist areas are Offshore Operations, Project Management, Compliance and Assurance systems. I am available to work worldwide.
My last Company position was Operations Manager/Offshore Installation Manager for Equinor UK Ltd on the Mariner Project. I was located in Aberdeen during the design phase and during the construction and pre-commissioning phase I spent 2.5 years overseas as part of the Project Management team in the South Korean shipyards. During Hook up and commissioning I was located back in Aberdeen in a supporting role to the offshore operation.
During this project and many others I accumulated a set of specific skills and experience that can be applied to many circumstances.
How I work
I am a hands-on consultant working alongside teams I can identify problems and implement effective solutions.
For example, during my time in South Korea I realised that the predominantly Norwegian Management Team needed guidance through the UK Health and Safety legislation requirements and the Engineering team needed guidance and help through the Independent Competent Person compliance process. I selected and set up a team from my network and together we took the project through to first oil.
You may be a client who wants representation on a project or you may be a contractor who wants to have a better working relationship with the client. I can act as a representative of both client and or contractor.

Risk & Compliance
The Oil and gas industry is hazardous to Workers Assets and the Environment. Those risks can be managed through good governance, effective risk management processes and compliance with robust company procedures and government regulations. I have extensive experience and qualifications in this field and can help steer you through the complexities and avoid unnecessary cost.
Project Management
Project Management embraces multiple disciplines, such as leadership, influence, negotiations, politics, change and conflict management and humour. These are all "soft" people skills that enable project leaders to be more effective and achieve optimized consistent results.
