I work across three professional services, providing advice, and support on: Risk & Compliance, Offshore Operations and Project Management.
1. Risk & Compliance
The Oil and gas industry is hazardous to Workers Assets and the Environment. Those risks can be managed through good governance, effective risk management processes and compliance with robust company procedures and government regulations. I have extensive experience and qualifications in this field and can help steer you through the complexities and avoid unnecessary cost.’
Describes the overall management approach through which senior executives direct and control the entire organization, using a combination of management information and hierarchical management control structures. Governance activities ensure that critical management information reaching the executive team is sufficiently complete, accurate and timely to enable appropriate management decision making, and provide the control mechanisms to ensure that strategies, directions and instructions from management are carried out systematically and effectively.
Is the set of processes through which management identifies, analyses, and, where necessary, responds appropriately to risks that might adversely affect realization of the organization's business objectives. The response to risks typically depends on their perceived gravity, and involves controlling, avoiding, accepting or transferring them to a third party, whereas organizations routinely manage a wide range of risks (e.g. technological risks, commercial/financial risks, information security risks etc.).
Means conforming with stated requirements. At an organizational level, it is achieved through management processes which identify the applicable requirements (defined for example in laws, regulations, contracts, strategies and policies), assess the state of compliance, assess the risks and potential costs of non-compliance against the projected expenses to achieve compliance, and hence prioritize, fund and initiate any corrective actions deemed necessary.
2. Offshore Operations

Many offshore Installations have key performance indicators and associated targets. I can help you meet those targets. My approach is based on the accountable involvement of the Offshore workforce, often KPIs are discussed at management meetings but rarely at shift meetings, I can help you communicate and involve your offshore teams to meet KPIs. As an experienced Offshore Installation Manager I can use my expansive knowledge and experience in Production, Maintenance, Drilling, Well interventions, Construction and Commissioning and Health safety and environment to improve your performance.
I am an experienced Coach and Trainer.
3. Project Management
A complete project manager is a person who embraces multiple disciplines, such as leadership, influence, negotiations, politics, change and conflict management and humour. These are all "soft" people skills that enable project leaders to be more effective and achieve optimized consistent results.
I can add to the list of soft skills by providing the engineering skills and experience gathered over many years in the oil and gas industry. I have a B.Eng. from Leeds Metropolitan University and have played a major role in significant projects such as the recently completed Mariner project.
